I've shared this before, but want to again. When my mom learned her cancer was terminal, she told me: "When a mom dies, a new clearing opens in the forest. Next time you're in the woods, look for it."

I keep searching for clearings - in nature and among people. Lush, green, beautiful clearings.

Humans of a certain era when both these shows were in regular weekday rerun rotation...

Agree. It’s been an endemic thing for decades. I see it here in upstate, but also have seen in ME, NH, VT, PA, etc. To my mind it proves that it’s not about history, it’s not about ancestry…it’s about flaunting your hate publicly.
