The NACCS Tejas Foco meeting is now history. Feeling grateful for all the love and the Award for Non-Fiction for SOMOS TEJANAS that Jody Marin and I received. Thank you to all contributors, without you, we wouldn’t have a book!

Poems like "To be a pocha or not to be" take the Bard's influence and transform them to address colonialism, slavery, and the erasure of language and culture.

BREAKING: In a new executive order sent out by the White House, Donald Trump has revoked the federal contractor nondiscrimination executive order, EO 11246, that was signed by Lyndon Johnson in 1965 and has protected employees of businesses seeking federal contracts from discrimination ever since.
I spent the first week of 2025 in room 451 at Methodist with Elvia as she deals with fractured vertebrae and ribs while recovering from cancer surgery.
I’ll be there but I arrive on the 9th. Although I may have to cancel. Elvia fell on Dec 10. Fractured 2 vertebra. Then yesterday she had cancer surgery.
I hope to be at MLA. but Elvia is hospitalized. She fell and has fractured vertebra. But the surgery was for stomach cancer.
