That whole thing was terrible and they should've gotten buried in the ground when it happened.
I think I wouldn't be so opposed to verification if I knew who it's going to, proof it's not kept, regulations against selling/using my private info, and ability to get recompense for when they fuck up.
It's amazing how the more technological minded age group gets older and can navigate parental settings and such easier, yet more companies force this bs upon everyone and killing net neutrality more and more all while not protecting information better. ><
