Yeah I've thankfully purged the worst of it when I left Twitter, moving to a site with a much more niche userbase humbled me into just vibing

But it is something that crosses my mind from time to time, be it out of sheer habit or something else

Also obviously I don't hold it against anyone for unfollowing, you're not beholden to anything, and especially on BSky which lacks features like RT-mutes, I can see some logic to it. I'm just sorta thoughtdumping, that's all

I should emphasize, I don't mean this in a social media popularity lens, honestly I haven't thought about my followercount much since migrating here.

I just feel like getting unfollowed by a mutual is a sign that things aren't working out. Not sure how much of that is just brainworms overriding.

Been passively wondering, is it seen as petty if you unfollow a mutual that's already unfollowed you? I try not to read too far into it when it comes up, but going off past experiences I'm usually left with the vibe of "yeah this isn't working out ig" and drop out too, unsure if that's a poor choice
