Dear @baldwin.senate.gov:
If you will no longer stand against Trump nominees, then I will vote for whoever primaries you.
Absolutely Disgusted Wisconsin Voter
I give up.

Hereβs an update on Joseph, a 6-year-old child from Hayward, who was cruelly deported with his family without his necessary hearing device.
An hour apart. Perhaps we should stop treating the mindless weathervane spinning in the breeze as if it has a clear strategic direction we can ascertain.

Our dogs Wendy (bigger, dark brown, 8 years old) and Rudy (smaller, tan / white, 14 years old) hanging out on a chair together
Over the last few years our dogs have developed a pact:
If you bark, even a little, I will immediately bark with you. I will in fact immediately go apeshit barking, making you go apeshit too. Doesnβt matter why, who cares, letβs make some big fuckin noise together partner. MAN does it feel good!!
Trump: "Kamala would get us into World War IIIβ¦All of your sons and daughters will end up getting a draft notice, a thing called the draft. 'Dad, what's this?' 'Oh, congratulations, you've been drafted into the military. You're going to fight a war.'"
Wanna feel old? No, of course you don't, but you're gonna.
Freddie Prinze Jr. turns 50 today.
EC writer and historical novelist Jack Oleck adapted the five stories of Amicus' TALES FROM THE CRYPT (released to US cinemas OTD in 1972) as a Bantam paperback edition. Never reprinted in 54 years, I treasure my pristine copy, and it's well worth the hunt (as well as the follow-up VAULT OF HORROR).
FARGO was released OTD 30 years ago.
Drop some CREATURES πΎπ¦π€π¦π¦

Inspired by the EC comics, TALES FROM THE CRYPT was released in America OTD in 1972, months before its UK debut (it was a British Amicus production). I prefer the serious approach here compared to the jokey HBO series. Peter Cushing plays a zombie under heavy makeup. Sequel VAULT OF HORROR followed.
We seem terrified to honestly label Trump and the times for what they are, but we are all in the backseat of a car he has driven off a cliff.
God save the world.
"Not since Adolf Hitler blew his brains out in a bunker beneath the garden of the German Reich Chancellery on April 30, 1945, have the lives of so many people around the world been so buffeted by the psychosis of a single man."
Happy 68th birthday to the legendary Gary Numan, presently doing some of the best work of his career.
In 1979 his music opened me to the exciting sounds coming from a multitude of pioneering artists, changing the trajectory of my life in profound ways.
And he was only 5 years older.
Remembering James Van Der Beek, who would have been 49 today; he passed on February 11, a victim of cancer.
He was one of the first "Internet's Boyfriend," before there was very much of an internet.
Fuck cancer.
Happy 81st birthday to Mickey Dolenz, our last surviving Monkee.
Rock On, Mickey.
On this International Women's Day, think of how immeasurably better America would have been with both of these women in the Oval Office, and then weep for the soul of the nation.
Smash your clocks tonight and just fucking wing it.
THREAD: I got laid off from NYMag/Vulture after 14 years. The family lost 75% of income + medical. Now mzs.press bookstore, once a side project. is do-or-die for Judith & I. I feel weird telling you this because others are doing much worse. But if you could like or share this, we'd be so grateful!
"We can rebuild him."
Happy 53rd birthday to THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN, which premiered as an ABC made-for-TV movie on this date in 1973.
SECOND CHANCE debuted on ABC OTD in 1977, and if it looks familiar, that's because it's the progenitor of the more successful PRESS YOUR LUCK. Jim Peck was the host, devils replaced Whammies (which I always found annoying AF), but it was axed after three months. Loved its theme music.
Ray Bradbury reminds you to turn your clock ahead.
Because if a terrorist attack occurs, it will be utilized as an emergency to suspend the midterms.
And 9/11 suspended the NYC mayoral primary that day. There is precedent.
