two of my favorite things when working with med students happened this month
-they got to do a procedure for the very first time and did phenomenal
-they ditched the notebook, and their confidence and presentations improved a ton📈💯🔥

grad photos on the helipad AND the therapy dogs came to visit. it was a good day
I told Nathan that we needed to keep our Christmas tree up until after my trauma rotation. I need all the joy I can with those long hours next month.
he is now referring it as the “trauma decision tree”🎄
first #NAEMSP2025 conference, and I wish I started way sooner. incredible past few days, and it has me even more stoked to start EMS fellowship in July🚨🚑
*im a survivor plays*
Moose acting like he works full time and is in residency too. night shifts are ruff on him too
Merry Christmas from your favorite land seal🦭❤️🎄
truly amazing. we try to go every winter if we can
Assateague in the off season. 12/10 would recommend🤍🎄🐴
wholesome texts from home.
my dad was a trucker his whole life and now is is semi-retired as a school bus driver. this is from my mom lol
“if I feed it, I eat it. except for my kids”
lort I love farmers.
we’re trying boots for Moose, two at a time so he can get used to him. he’s not a fan 😂
absolutely stoked to hear about the fellowship matches today, especially the OG med school squad.
our crew now has matched to EMS, FM-OB, pediatric cardiology, infectious disease, palliative, geriatrics and pain medicine‼️💯🔥#fellowshipmatch #fellowshipmatch2025
nooo not the night shift nausea lol
am I sick or is this just night shift, again? a tale as old as time
had work work Thanksgiving night so we’re having belated turkey day today. Nathan and my dad make the potatoes every year.
“Spud Buds” is what my dad calls it. this year Moose is closely supervising
small small world. I love it. so glad we could connect on here
Oh wow small world. Is that great falls too?!
happy Thanksgiving from my lil turkey💛🦃
broke out the lazy Susan for a little Thanksgiving day lunch before heading into shift 6 of 6 (send prayers)
I wasn’t planning on doing much today and in a weird turn of events Nathan was off and surprised me with this spread. feeling thankful💛🦃
huge congrats to everyone that passed the ABEM exam! insanely proud, and at the same time viscerally unwell thinking about taking it next year, especially with the pass rate🫣
to those who took it, what resource do you think helped the most? #medsky #EMsky #EMedsky
2) this is fairly close to home
3) Dr. Carter is back
4) they intubated without a stylet in the trailer, but still v excited to see how this show goes haha
5) the thought of a 15 hour shift is very unpleasant haha
my dad called me to tell me about the new HBO TV show “The Pitt” starting in January, made by the same producers of ER and The West Wing. it follows docs in the ED in Pittsburgh.
“15 episodes. 15 hours. 1 shift.”
1) I think it’s adorable he stopped what he was doing to call
the ED really is feast or famine. every shift is different and it keeps life interesting
i’m an album girly
playlists are cool
but listening to an entire album in order, the way the artist intended? that’s where it’s at for me personally
👋🏼👋🏼
and yes, we had the radio on and were listening in at all the surrounding dumpster fires out there🚒 sounds messy so be careful yall in the snow
Nathan and I had the day off today so we planned on having a date night in. welp, someone hit a transformer and we lost power for a few hours. this was his solution at keeping the hanger at bay, and he was so happy and proud of his “preparedness” lmao
marriage is fun.
the Christmas tree is up and so is my joy
that’s awesome. those pups are so lucky to have you
I think I need to get some cameras for Moose
