In The Manuscript, the only thing that’s left is the manuscript. The entire torrid affair is over. The professor said the only way to move forward is to look backwards. 6/

She asked all these questions earlier, asking if it was real, if it was worth it to keep the secret. She also says the greatest of luxuries are your secrets. She knows the questions won’t be answered, the secret has to stay secret, the relationship is over. She doesn’t even want the answer. 5/

She asks if you ever kissed someone in a crowded room and were mocked, if you left her house in the middle of the night, of you wish you could still touch her. She also says you were caught in “politics and gender roles.” 3/

In Question…? Taylor asks all kinds of questions about a secret relationship. She starts the song with, “We had one thing going on / I swear that it was something / ‘Cause I don't remember who I was before you.” 2/

I don’t see people making the connection between Question…?, Dear Reader, and The Manuscript to Ruin the Friendship. I wanted to give my thoughts. 1/
