Your child's repetitive language isn't wrong. It's part of their unique journey to self-generated speech. The Natural Language Acquisition protocol shows us that with patience and support, they develop complete grammar systems⦠just through a different path.
Trust the process. Honor their language.

For the past century, American culture has been seeped in the ideals of behaviorism, which denies the existence of an inner reality. In other words, whatever is going on mentally with a person can be understood directly through their behavior...

Autistic people may be a minority, but I see them as the canary in the coal mine. Their struggles stem from an inability to cope with a false role in a false life within a false society. They are sensitive to behaviorist policies and environmental toxins, which are ever increasing in our world.

Ever wondered why autism can be described in seemingly contradictory ways? The understanding and meaning of the condition completely flipped in the mid-20th century. It was easier to deny the existence of an inner life than to include subjective criteria in large-scale studies.

Autistic people who have taken part in ABA are 86% more likely to experience PTSD than those who have not. It's child abuse.

Rejection sensitivity is said to be an erroneous assumption that rejection has occurred. But the reality is that people with these conditions ARE rejected quite often, even by family. Then they are told that the rejection they experienced isn't real but all in their headβ¦

My mom was a school counselor! She knew enough to do a kind of personal ABA with me, which I hated and has a big impact on why I don't want to be involved with any sort of therapy or have any evaluations. I know myself well enough to know that I don't fit in any pre-determined box.

In the past it was observed that children with regressive autism would typically overcome their struggles while those with infantile autism would not. We are dealing with multiple neurotypes within what we now call autism. So confusion reigns and research is increasingly difficult to decipher.
