I was a carrier for 6 months about two years ago. I loved the work, but with two kids at home, it just wasn't a family-friendly job for me with the quantity of hours. Also management sucks. But they'll take pretty much anyone, there wasn't even an interview.
Otherwise, USPS is always hiring, though there's mandatory overtime. Pro tip: one can get a doctor's note restricting you to 40 hours per week.
There's a massive substitute teacher shortage. Anyone with a bachelor's degree can get a substitute teaching license and sub for MPS. $25 an hour. Also, work 6.5 hours and get paid for 8.
