i’m a couple episodes in and am gonna keep at it.
i’m a couple episodes in and am gonna keep at it.
i never really got into them when i was younger with the exception of Twilight Zone reruns, but diving in the last several months has been great.
i’m actually keen for something with recurring characters and longer arcs.
i don’t really see anyone talk about it like other horror shows from that era (Tales from the Darkside, Monsters, Tales from the Crypt), so i’m not expecting much. figured i’d give it a chance, though,
didn’t love the first episode, but feels like there’s a lot of potential in the premise. it’s weird that i’ve gone this long without seeing -any- of the series.
a perfect day to -finally- check this series out.
for those of you who dug War Machine, i’d definitely recommending checking out Kill Command (2016).
hits a lot of the same notes, and stars Vanessa Kirby! it’s well worth a watch.
i was hoping this would be the follow-up to your thread. huge congrats!
it sounds kind of familiar…
grabbed this lot of vintage trading cards (mostly Star Wars/ESB/RotJ) at the local auction tonight. doubt there’s any complete sets, but felt worth picking up for $20.
that’s a fun stack! i definitely need to watch Prancer when we get to the holiday this year.
don’t ask me why i thought it would be fun to throw this together.
youtu.be/YhgSFjZVzAs?...
it’s not a complete set (missing about 15 cards), but it was an absolute steal at $10.
went to the local thrift co-op auction and bought a bunch of stuff i absolutely shouldn’t have.
anything but the last option. i think some close examination and reevaluation, with stopping completely as a back-up.
(i also know that with my awful impulse control, i’d be very prone to falling back into the behavior that made it stressful/depressing.)
Toy Soldiers is the sentimental fave. i still remember watching it at my friend’s house back in the day.
here’s some tapes in my collection.
this news is gonna keep me going until May. i’ve been dying to watch Towards The Future for -years- now.
i found the seasons at the thrift last year and started watching last October. i got through the first couple seasons and paused, but between you and the Purple Stuff pod recently, i started up again the other day.
sortin’ my TMNT collection.
restarted my watch through of Tales from the Darkside last night, and — holy shit! — finally got to “Seasons of Belief”.
i knew it was a beloved episode, i figured it would be pretty mean-spirited, but that ending absolutely floored me. gonna be revisiting it every holiday season ‘til i die.
it’s the simple things.
torn between My Bloody Valentine (loveless) and Shonen Knife.
Elsewhere’s storefront looks identical to the shop i went to from ‘92 to 2004. such a throwback!

texted my buddy after the movie and this is the response i got:
Grumpy Bear & Me.
i haven’t been to The Brattle in forever.
there’s more than enough other theaters in the area, but none with as many screens. gonna be tough seeing the smaller releases now on the big screen.
i hope he’s a Glen Powell fan.
