I assume it's an equal opportunity type thing so that stores/players that do week 1 prerelease don't have more access to the reprints. Or maybe for regionals there are some countries that don't do prerelease?
(Not that I think it's a good policy, just that's what I assume the logic is)
When I start doing this, I usually take the rest of the day and maybe the next day off and don't play to give my mind time to reset.
I think it's like my brain has been thinking too much about the game and needs to clean out the space to remember what all I need to do on those turns.

I've been trying to make myself play Stage 2 decks for the past few months (Non-ASC Format, Pult + Garde mostly) and am working on Dnite Eels now, but every stage 2 deck feels so frustrating to play when I could play Big Basics or Stage 1 and punch face instead 😂

I walked away from a PTCGL game on like turn 2 this morning against pult to clean my wife's car off and it took longer than expected.
When I came back I had draw + passed 4 turns and they had been messing around and evolved all their Drakloaks, so I was able to win by going 2-2-2 after an Iono 😂
