Honestly, that book of a reply re: Magic notwithstanding, I abandoned D&D a very long time ago and only go back extremely grudgingly. There are simply too many just hands down better systems, before even dipping a pinky toe nail into the sludge puddle associated with it.

Plus there is tremendous guilt. Like I taught my kids to play. Encouraged people to turn up and support LGSes. That there is even the possibility to have this important part of my life used to enrich hatred makes all that effort feel disgusting.

I did a test run of 8 on shitty cheap paper with my shitty basic printer and it really upped the grime/zine feels
