I’m so mad I’m missing it.

The Defiants rule. They’re basically the Danger Danger follow-ups to Return of the Great Gildersleeves.
Hahaha—I wouldn’t blame you to be shocked!
I know, I know. I kept trying to watch it and it wasn’t available to stream anywhere. And then, suddenly, there it was… Tubi!
I finally caught it a few months back. Damn is it good. I feel the ending stumbles a little, but it has some amazing sequences. That phone booth? GODDAMN.
This is the plot of a really bad 90s movie.
My schedule is super tight, because my gf and I had booked a vacation before I learned the film was gonna premiere there.
It’s gonna be a whirlwind.
I have people coming from out of town to see the film. They don’t even have tickets! They just wanna show up to support, and hope they get in. I am so humbled by that.
We have dinner plans with different folks every night. But we’ve been told that even with reservations there will be a wait. We also were told not to bother renting a car. Uber will be expensive but better.
I’m blessed that a friend offered us to stay at his house. Because hotels are ridiculous!
I’ve never been to SXSW. Was able to reserve for a few screenings but have no idea how to make it into other events. I guess I will find out… by trying.
To say I have no idea what to expect is an understatement.
I even own the soundtrack! I like it!
I’m sorry to bring him to your timelines, but since he’s been deactivated on Threads, he’s transferring his misogyny, racism and transphobia to BlueSky.
He’s about to be homeless and uses his mental health as an excuse to harass women who reach out in support.
There’s no excuse for his behavior.
“Comments are deactivated.”
Just a heads up since this is a Freelance journalist with quite a few followers (though likely purchased): Brian Penny is deeply unwell, and is threatening sexual assault and livestreaming murdering women with the excuse of having a record of mental health issues.
Headed to SXSW for the premiere of QUINCE! And immediately afterwards taking a much needed vacation.
This will be my first proper vacation in years.
Though most people probably remember Jennifer Runyon from a creepy scene in Ghostbusters, as a child watching the first season of CHARLES IN CHARGE, her character Gwendolyn Pierce was the kindest, most beautiful, and supportive woman on the planet. RIP.
Finally felt healthy enough to go see GOOD LUCK HAVE FUN DON’T DIE. What a ride.
FIFA must feel pretty silly right about now.
I’d love to write M.A.S.K.
LOVE it.
That awful people get to these assignments breaks my heart.
Skybound wants me broke.
Almost like a karaoke room but for movie lovers, it that makes sense.
My brain short circuited for a second because those three also star in Get Shorty.
I’m also willing to bet the film was tampered with a lot in the edit based on some story jumps.
It’s a perfect example of a film that I support being remade: instead of repackaging successful movies, remake good ideas that didn’t work.
I watched 1995’s TALL TALES the other day because I’d never seen it. And it’s deeply flawed.
HOWEVER!
Man, the locations. The visuals. There’s one town that has Glen Canyon, Vazquez Rocks AND Monument Valley as backdrops.
You rarely see that kind of filmmaking anymore.

I absolutely love Harrison Ford in SHRINKING. I know I’m late to the party but I love how vulnerable he gets to be.
Derek is still my favorite. He’s just joy.
RIP Robert Carradine.
Fuck yeah I am! I immediately stopped by my local shop and they were like “calm down. We can’t place an order for another two months.”
