Portuguese cavalry make a push beside the olive grove with French infantry in the distant background and a little shed/lean to front left.

Portuguese Cacadores cross the river to try and fend off the French voltiguers in the olive grove on the far right (they failed 😬). The river runes through the centre of the shot, bottom to top

The Portuguese gun takes a shot at the French infantry in the distance causing some damage but not enough to stop those advance across the bridge. Orange grove back left and river on the extreme right.

Played a Sharp Practice 2 game today. Portuguese v French somewhere in Spain.

Ran out of time to complete but it could’ve gone either way if we carried on.

Good fun and good company with a rather nice pub lunch in between 😁

Some more progress on the wee men. The yellow shields are in AK Quickgen Space Yellow, and the Leather is AK Quickgen Light Leather

While finishing off random miniatures from the shelf that've been sitting there for longer than a year, I primed and painted this Kiwi MG team for my 2NZ Division force in a couple hours.

It'd be nice to have it painted better, but it's better painted! 😂 I know what I'm about.

Started putting the metal down on my dwarf swordsmen. It’s by far the biggest color, so hopefully it’s all downhill after this. The color is AK Quickgen Cold Steel.

Playing Battle Masters with grandson.
My flanking move with chaos knights and wolf riders had early success.
But a late run of cards (and gentle tactical advice) resulted in Imperial knights smashing my right and center.

Pirate skirmish using Legends of the High Seas

Currently playing Men of Company B by Peter Pig. My first try of the game and really enjoying the mechanics. Am playing solo and to be honest am not sure who is winning but suspect the VC are.

Chuffed to win best game at Steel Lard today, thanks to all the players and to Richard, Dex et al for organising everything.

Painted some 6mm Baccus French Napoleonic Foot Artillery.
3 guns and limbers, the guns are detached into their own base when unlimbered, and a 'blank' fills the space on the limber base.
I'm probably going to add caissons or battery guard to these blanks in the future.

New buildings for Germany and the eastern front. Tinkering, as usual, with a few Sarissa 20mm MDF buildings. Two German farms and barns and two of the Russian townhouses. Planning on playing the CoC campaign Westwind Konigsberg. Did it with Normandy buildings the first time. #spreadthelard

Chindits! A last gasp victory for the Brits, escaping from the IJA, exiting North. The price was high & good men were left behind. Game 2 will be the pursuit of the Brits by the IJA. Using the SharpEnd, we will bring wounded back to the line. The IJA get more support. #spreadthelard #wargames
