A Common Scoter shared Westport Lake with this gorgeous adult summer Mediterranean Gull this morning🖤🤍
30 Whooper Swans on a sunny cloudless day in the middle of SOT were a bit of a surprise today, with these, YBW, Bean, WF Goose & Shorelark all within 10k it’s been decent start to 2026😎
Rare foray into Warwick’s today for a very elusive Humes Leaf Warbler a new edition to my West Midland Bird Club Region List which now stands at 294 (photo of a bird from a few years ago)

Some Thai Marshland birds, the ever present Red-wattled Lapwing, Open-billed Stork, Eastern Cattle Egret and Grey-headed Plover which may look familiar to UK twitchers🙂
Great to watch an estimated 2 million Asian wrinkle lipped bats leaving their cave this evening near Khao Yai. Crested Goshawk, Shikras, Peregrine & Kestrel all trying to catch one🦇

The Wader Fest continued today with the pick being 100’s of Nordmanns Greenshanks, Asiatic Dowitchers, Terek Sandpipers, Great Knots, Red-necked Stints……
