In fact, we find that coverage surrounding Black Americans in U.S. television news is frequent in a narrow set of topics (e.g., sports and crime). At a time where Americans continue to turn to the news for pertinent information, our findings are quite useful. Read more at the link above βοΈ.
Excited to share my latest work with/ @snsoroka.bsky.social! How are Black Americans depicted in U.S. television news? We examine three decades of television content to answer this question and find for the most part, coverage has remained relatively unchanged.
