I caught a fleeting glimpse of life
And though the water's black as night
The colours of Scotland
Leave you young inside
The Lowland Scot with English habits
Has brought me to his lowland manners
Oh I do believe
Dust will turn the seed home
Here's two lovely things to enjoy in the one video ... the world-record AC/DC tribute bagpipe players performing 'Itβs a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna RockβnβRoll)' and a fly-over by one of the adult Peregrines who've been nesting at #367Collins, checking it out.
#McMorrissey All over Vatersay some hope and some despair. You're the one for me fatty.

Timespan Museum and Arts Centre. The image shows a view down to an oblong building that extends from bottom left of the frame into the middle right. There is a road climbing a hill this side of it and other buildings and a car park in the background seen above the building, which is mainly yellow with dark brown facings at its left-hand end. The light is grey.

My photo shows a so-called βberserkerβ (warder/rook) chess piece from the Lewis Chessmen. The chess piece is standing and viewed from the front, wearing a long garment and a hood, armed with a sword and shield decorated with an interlaced saltire. The warder has large, wide- open eyes, and a row of large upper teeth which bite the top of his shield. Height 8.2 cm. The Norse sagas describe βberserkersβ as warriors who went into battle in a wild, magic-mushroom fuelled frenzy!
One look is worth a thousand words!
Wide-eyed, shield-biting, βberserkerβ chess piece. One of the 12th-century Lewis Chessmen, from a large gaming hoard found on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland, in 1831.
