Accurate.
Putting aside how the UK government usually responds to these petitions by simply saying 'no', seeing this hit a million signatures in like a day kinda shows how much people REALLY do not want this.
So yeah, keep signing it. Let's see how high this can go!

I donβt think any multinational company is perfect, but Lush are at least having a stab at doing the right thing here.
Hi Weaves! <3
To be fair, I donβt think there is yet an offshoot where someone accidentally becomes an omega due to a tent peg accident.

I am a cis woman. Today's ruling is not in my name. It does not protect me; it only makes life more difficult and dangerous for my trans sisters and loved ones.
Trans women are women and they deserve the same rights, dignity and hope that we all expect and strive for in this world.
Seven years, FFS. A jokeβs a joke, John. Iβve started loaning your swords to my am dram lot.

Oh man, I have to catch up! I had cooking shows in the way, but WoT is next.
If Cynthia covers All The Ladies I will faint.
The thing about all these pieces complaining about Marine Le Pen's conviction is that not a single one of them bothers to explain why someone found guilty of embezzling millions of Euros from public funds should be allowed to get away with it
I'm the lawyer for Macmillan. Contrary to Meta's statement, the arbitrator's order does not "affirm" that the book is "false and defamatory." The order makes NO finding of falsity or defamation. This is about suppressing an author's unflattering speech. Macmillan vetted the book and stands by it.
People who defend billionaires online seem to think that they will be chosen out of a crowd of people by a billionaire who will be like "Hey pal, you are very special. Thanks for defending me on Glorbo Social when that guy said I reminded him of a squid. Here's a million dollars for your troubles."

Morning βοΈ I canβt believe my petition is now less than 1000 signatures away from a government debate. Iβve been doing this with no evangelical π° media or Twitter. Please share and help get this over the line. Protect us from MAGA fascism petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...
This is the sole reason I do a thing for Lent, Jan-Feb you need ALL the coping mechanisms.
Here's a 2017 article about the plan to use feminist and 'left-wing' language to 'split the letters'. I genuinely cannot tell you how enraging it's been to watch it be planned and executed to the letter, out in the open, and still see people falling for it.

π₯ Well... this is now over 88,000 signatures!
Just one final push to get it over that magic 100,000 and get a parliamentary debate? Why not!

Belated burns night dinner. Haggis, potato dauphinoise, roasted neeps with chilli honey, garlicky greens. The world is awful, but in the kitchen things can be good for a bit.
three panel comic with crudely drawn stick people. panel 1: a grayscale person is giving a presentation. There is a table in front of them, and a display behind them which reads: "New policy: Admit we don't give a shit?" Presenter: "And so, board member,s I bring you the following proposal for a bold new future here at Boeing-Facebook!" Panel 2: The slide switches to a new one, with a picture of a color wheel labelled "chromos" and another of a square, two triangles and a hexagon, labelled "shapeys". The title is "common targets." The presenter does some gesturing, and keeps talking: "As you know, moderation is expensive and the political winds are turning. But think about it. Most of our users are fucking stupid. If they weren't, they would've left after we rewrote the algorithm to exclusively show them meaningless advertising slop. I propose that we save huge amounts of money by simply allowing harassment against some targets. Panel 3: Out of the board members, a single one has a triangular head. There's also one with mushrooms growing on their body. Triangle: "I uh. I have some concerns about this." Presenter: "Yeah, because you're a degenerate. See how easy things are with this policy?"

Also yes this. If you donβt run the βare we even civilized any more?β piece when children get shot in their classrooms you forfeit the moral right to run that piece when one health care CEO is killed.
I have affection for the books but they are⦠long, and of their time; and the show is very much a pragmatic adaptation for people who live now. I need to watch season two actually, thank you for the reminder!
I don't know who needs to know this, but Pro Publica has an online thing that will format a letter to your US health insurance company to demand the records behind a claim denial. (which the insurance is then legally required to provide in most cases)

This⦠is actually really important.
