Newest watercolor is Yi, the weird (even by dinosaur standards)bat-winged feathered baby-dragon-lookin theropod. I sketched this pose with a red marker on a scrap of lined paper like 10 years ago and finally decided to paint it this week.

Illustration showing a pair of adult Sonselasuchus eating in a bipedal pose while the juvenile in the foreground is adopting a quadrupedal pose
Allow me to introduce you to Sonselasuchus cedrus, a new bipedal, beaked and herbivorous crocodile-relative that lived during the Late Triassic in North America

This is sort of a vent short story. But I'm kind of proud of it. Anyway, Feel free to give it a read.

February 2026 writing overview!
Common or Eurasian coot (Fulica atra) swimming on the surface of the water.
I don't usually bother much with coots, as they are just so common and plentiful. So much so that I didn't realise they have scary red eyes.

"nice to meet you! when festival utsava comes, we shall sing together in happiness!"

#eso #esofam
*waves* i'd very much appreciate if you all go follow my friend @fairywinds.bsky.social for cool fromsoft fanart. thank you π€
I can't wait to share it all. I just hope your day/night is a bit better.
It's kind of crazy how much more detailed things are getting on the map. So many small kingdoms that I've added that were just not there before. A lot of the characters I've been writing are their rulers or just important people of these new places.
I don't have any art or anything but I've been working on more characters for my fantasy setting. To just flesh out the world a bit more.
Including more birdfolk and elves that I've been having fun writing.
Going to be a new episode of Paleo Corner this week (It's long overdue) and also making a kind of rant video, but also not a rant video.
My problem is that I have far to many interests and not enough time to enjoy all of them.
One day I'll figure out how to dedicate myself to just one thing and stick with it. π
Current writing projects:
Dinosaur setting:
- Project Oviraptoridae
- Project Pillarfall (Skyfire)
Fantasy setting:
- Project Mercenary
Added the rest of Chapter IV to the preview!

life reconstruction of galahadosuchus by matt dempsey. the animal is small and gracile, with long legs and a very long tail
a warm welcome to galahadosuchus, a small crocodylomorph from late triassic england π the holotype was previously referred to terrestrisuchus, but bodenham et al. redescribe it as a separate taxon in their #openacess paper

New Oviraptoridae character file :)
(Well not new new... But now I know what Ember's species is)
Title updated slightly.
Oviraptoridae hasn't been a short story in a while lol.
Me forgetting to put a simple "To Be Continued" At the end of the preview. π

Speed paint #watercolor #paleoart of the recently published hedgehog dino, Haolong. What a neat creature!
