His skin was aged and weathered. But with a youthful smile and exuberance. Her companion was well traveled she supposed with royalty as friends and acquaintances. "Hmm." Sonja is speechless for a second, absorbing the information he has told her.
"I am a nobody." She smiles. Proud of that fact.
She is startled by his reply.
"Just how old are you?" A tale from ancient times.
She repeats the name as she runs his fur. "Fenris The Great."
She remembers the name and the story. "The one that took Tyr's hand." The betrayal.
She speads out the mat and blanket. Threadbare but still warm wool. A trinket from her past. Sonja still carried it with her. She squeals when she sees the direwolf. She leans over to her companion. "And the name?" A friendly pup. Nudging her hand for a pet.
It wasn't him, it was her.
Sonja was not quick to trust. He had made an impression on her.
Her hands reach for the sleeping roll. "You may keep me company til I sleep." The moon was high in the sky.
She gives him a pleasant smile.
It is a kind offer.
"I have a mat and blanket."
Sonja points to her horse. She is used to sleeping in the elements.
Sonja stumbles out the door laughing. The moon hung high in the sky. A plumb of steam rising from her mouth in the cold night air.
"Wolf then."
A drunken smile.
"Guess we won't be sleeping there tonight. "
She will find her horse and a tree to sleep under.

The tavern owner is screaming raising hel that a fight is erupting in his bar. Sonja grabs him by the arm before the ogre can stand.
"Time to leave." She never caught his name.
The ogre, showing a heightened level of annoyance, wraps his thick paw around the warrior's neck and throws him across the room.
Sonja tries to hide her surprise by drinking her ale and ordering 2 refills from the bartender.

The ogre had eyed Rec Sonja suspiciously earlier. He growls when approached by the warrior.
He beats his chest pretending to be hurt by words.
"My mother is none of your business!"
His hand punches Warwolf in the shoulder.
Takes out her dagger and spins it on the bar. It lands on rude looking patron.
"Start a fight and end it and I'll buy the next dinner."
"Where you been?"
Guzzles her beer.

"It's too early to tell."
Smirks.
He may not live the night.
She gives him a hopeful smile.
"If you live."
Her eyebrow raises.
"I thought we are going to kill a king?"
She composes herself quickly. A warrior sobbing in a tavern. Unwarrior like.
"I shall find her and split her skull!" Sonja was still angry about it.
Out of nowhere a deluge of tears fall. She takes the comforting hand and wipes her face. Snots and all. "Thank you."
Slides over a mug.
"Skol."
She doesn't listen to the reply . An image forming in her mind.
"I lost my sister Annisia. She went mad." Sonja had her share of losses. Men, family.
Inebriated and full of food, Sonja is now curious about her new companion. "Why not?" She shrugs. Sleep with a monster ? Not uncommon.
Her eyes brighten.
"How many did you sleep with?"
He has piqued her interest.
"Any Rusalka in the lake?"
Her lips curve into a smile and she chuckles under her breath.
"The stench was foul, I imagine."

Blinks slowly and then recognizes the God of Thunder.
Briefly kneels.
"My Lord. What brings you to Hyrkania?"
