As soon as I read the summary of that bill, I thought their next step would be placing more barriers to getting/renewing passports. This seems like the beginning of that.

There was a shopping mall on the site of an internment camp outside of San Francisco when I was growing up. Seemed like a particularly disrespectful way to use a space that had contained so much suffering. I don’t think they even put a plaque about it or anything.
