Specifically at 1:50, if Ant passes the ball to Jaden instead of Julius, seems to me that would have been an easy baseline drive for either a dunk or a three for Donte in the opposite corner.

Lakers were playing heavy in the gaps against Edwards, taking away drives to the rim. Look at 1:50 for best example
With his 3 not falling, Ant needed to get off the ball far more quickly. You can see it in many of these possessions where an Ant pass led to a quality shot
Both of those things are true. I also think Ant was far too passive, played right into the defenses hands many times and overall needed to get off the ball far more often.
What share of credit/blame you give to Ant's poor decision-making, the Lakers defense, and an off shooting night is up to you
It probably has been "worse" this season, though they haven't had as many gapping pits of poor play to dig out of compared to last season or Rudy's first year
They did hit their stride last year at this time. Their schedule was also weak so we'll see if they can replicate it at least on some level
I 100% agree with this from Jon. It's been this way for at least four seasons for better and for worse.
My problem is they need to be better than years past, if not MUCH better and there hasn't really been any indication 65 games that they are
Really important final 17 games

Anthony Edwards had possibly his worst performance of the season last night against the Lakers where he had 14 points on 2-15 shooting, 1-10 from three, 9-10 from the line, 4 assists and 2 turnovers
Here is a look at all of his half-court on-ball possessions (1/2)

Given their reaction, I don't think the bench believed it either
Yeah I should ask him about that as it's not the first time an Ayo missed layup has led to a Rudy putback. I agree that he saw Rudy and either thought of his shot as a pass or knew if he missed it that Rudy would be there to clean it up
Rudy Gobert led the Wolves with 5 assists last night. Two went for Ayo Dosunmu transition layups and another two came directly off of offensive rebounds.
Here are all 5 of them clipped up. Watch the second one where the bench goes crazy after the Naz 3
I think if people are comparing Ayo to NAW it would be that they are similar quality of players cause like you, I don't really see how they are similar style of players
Last night Ayo Dosunmu showcased what he can bring to the Wolves offense with 13 points including a pair of transition buckets, a 3 after a double of Ant, and a pretty back cut for a layup
Here's all of his makes from last night plus a miss that directly led to a Rudy putback
Come for the Wolves talk, stay for the Jon Krawczynski cameo
I asked Ayo Dosunmu about playing with Kyle Anderson and the back door cut he had in the 3rd Q. Here's what he said along with the play referenced in my question.
"The second day he got here he shot me a text at like 7 in the morning and told me hey that cut be there I swear."

Really good Timberwolves performance pretty much from start to finish tonight. That's 5 in a row for the Wolves who now sit as the 3 seed in the West
