It's time. I've opposed this conversation for a decade, as the legal standard hadn't been met. Now the standard for launching a criminal investigation clearly has been—and the Democrats *can* and *must* launch their own probe so they are ready (if facts warrant) to impeach Trump for Treason in 2027.

Were a little lucky we have the benefit of preferential voting, so if we don’t like Labor but know they’re still better than any far right party we can vote where we want and still essentially give Labor the vote.

I still see should be Democrat voters on here who are justifying why they didn’t vote in 2024 - because they opposed Biden. Even after Trump has literally destroyed American democracy, they’re still campaigning more regularly against Democrats and barely mention Trump. They’ve helped elect Trump.

In the UK, Reform is ahead in the polls and all I see is critique of Starmer for “not stopping them”. Same in Australia. Nothing Albo says or does is good enough, pure enough, progressive enough. Meanwhile, Hanson rises, and Libs and Nationals become more MAGA by the day. It’s so predicable!

I’ve been closely following American politics for over a decade. What I’m seeing now in Australia and UK is exactly what happened during Trump’s rise. “Progressives” spent all their time and energy complaining that centre left party wasn’t left wing enough (Bernie-bros), while right populists rose.

The Trump administration could really restore confidence by getting the entire Cabinet to ride a tanker through the Straits of Hormuz to show everyone how safe and easy it is now.

They could bring along a lot of MAGA influencers and Fox News hosts to broadcast it all live!

I can see it now: the President, the VP, the Speaker of the House, and maybe the Treasury Secretary for good measure, flying the largest American flag imaginable as they escort tankers through the Strait of Hormuz.

Just imagine what a 250th celebration would result from THAT.
