Many authors write/or would write additional teaching materials to support their texts. Would this be helpful for teachers? Or does this squash the reading for pleasure principle? How are class texts selected? Many author friends support this with additional materials, including paid school visits.
I’ve pretty much taken a week off due to knee surgery, but I’m back now. I just need to remember to move regularly or my leg will seize up and I’ll be stuck at my desk forever. #amwriting

Unlike many authors, I’m not afraid of writing a synopsis. But trying to summarise a psych thriller with multiple murders, clues and red herrings while keeping it to a reasonable length is a challenge! #amwriting

I’ve been home alone with my two cats for two days.
They are taking it in turns to stop me working. The other laps come home this evening and I suspect I’ll be dumped by both cats within minutes so I’m enjoying the loving while it lasts. #amwriting #kidlituk #ukkidlit
The other unrealistic thing is having a proper gravestone in place at the funeral. There’s at least a year waiting list to get a headstone carved.

The food is fabulous but extra Chocolate is always welcome.
It’s a cheapie bluetooth keyboard. I find it better than the macbook keyboard because I’m used to a proper desktop set up. The only problem is it has batteries and I forget to turn it off between uses! My macbook case has a built in stand/support. When I set it up tomorrow, I’ll post another pic.
