Dark Devil Darling that she is, it is very nice to see Miss Polly go through some character growth, gain new perspective on various matters, and come into her own even more.
If the epilogue of Act 2 is anything like the main course, then this is yet another beautifully executed tale for the books.
The triangle of emotions with Phoebus, Esmeralda, and Quasi is honestly better fleshed out and doesn't feel so superficial, like the film. It pains, yet warms the heart and soul. I've cried a few times. 10/10 (3 - End)
Frollo having a more direct connection to Quasi is a great detail that harkens back to the novel. Also, Patrick Page had me in Hadestown, but I'm even MORE entranced by his skills as an actor. (2)
The stage musical for "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" is PHENOMENAL!!! The actor for Quasimodo brings a new emotion and depth to the character that you can feel in both speech and song. (1)
