obviously donβt want to underplay the significance of a global economic meltdown, but it is so weird to see how much of the coverage (including opposition coverage!) is focused solely on that and not, you know, the murder.
This show is the rare case where I have suggested to people to tough out the first two episodes. I usually say life is too short to suffer for pop art. But by the end of season 1 I was having an absolute ball. Genuinely excited for season 2.
sometimes it feels like a critical mass of people got a secret memo that said βstop trying.β
if you ever start it, i will work for it!
i just donβt know how to live in a world where this remark is just one more drop in the rainstorm.
soβ¦is the assertion here that *anyone* living in iran will βmost likely be killed?β
i was just there and the source of the delays seemed to be that they made everyone walk in twos past sniffer dogs, which predictably created a massive bottleneck.
you know if she really believed that shit she wouldnβt still be dieting and getting hair extensions
update: this fucking freak likes techno
scenes from a sunday: playing the most hardcore german techno we can find to try and scare the squirrels out of our attic.
this is so nonsensical itβs not really worth responding to but:
-i voted for kamala
-she chose not to campaign on ending the genocide. she could have and she chose not to. just a fact and it cost her votes.
-i may be mediocre, but not a man
-sorry what does that image have to do with anything?
β¦she wasnβt strong enough on genocide. are you seriously arguing that she was?
(to be clear I donβt actually agree with that logic, but if you think racism and misogyny were fully insurmountable, then you think she could not have won no matter what.)
what??
following this logic takes you to: there was literally nothing she could have done to win. which makes her π₯π₯π₯π₯a bad candidate!
itβs hillary 2.0. yes, a lot of of reasons people hate her are unfair and rooted in misogyny. nevertheless, people *hate her* and her campaign never reckoned with that.
holy shit louis theroux comes off as such a prick in this guardian interviewβat multiple points scolding the (female) interviewer for not asking him better questions. www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio...
1. trump is not a βhypocrite.β
2. he has been extremely consistent that his definition of βmost peaceful presidentβ is βpresident who stops most wars.β
3. when he ran out of existing wars he could claim to stop, he was obliged to come up with a creative, out-of-the-box solution.
if she ran this perfect campaign you all seem to be arguing for then WHY DID SHE LOSE
i do not understand the mentality of the people in this thread who are looking to blame anyone for why a candidate lost an election *except the actual candidate*. sounds like an amazing way not to learn any lessons that might be useful next time.
"Everyone is 12" theory remains undefeated.
At this point, I think there might literally be a 7th grade boy running White House comms.
Anyone who's navigated ob market last 18 months could tell you this is indeed current state of things, but whew boy have we been gaslit by breathless reports about the booming stock market, which is entirely driven by AI, a technology precisely engineered to destroy as many human jobs as possible
In every Republican presidency of my lifetime there's been a recession and a new war in the Middle East.

NOT A JOKE
Optical illusion of a woman bent over some papers. Her sunglasses are pushed up and she is wearing a hair band so the top of her head looks exactly like a Muppet face
Sorry I know the world is in a terrible fix but I've been laughing at this for ten minutes now
irony died a while back, but at this moment its ashes were scattered into the ocean
i do think this frenzy to accomplish longtime GOP regime change goals is a good indicator that heβs dying. this is basically their supermarket spree.
Markwayne is actually a noble title, and is the Oklahoma equivalent to "Marquis," and may be passed on at the same time your father gives you his car dealership
honestly I ignore everything that comes after because I don't actually think you're the brave truth teller you think you are if you're scared to say words because of a rumour that the app will limit your views
well at least iβm not alone on the raft
