Finished this monster. What can I say? A modernist masterpiece that belongs to the same shelf as The Magic Mountain, The Death of Virgil, and Berlin Alexanderplatz. A decadent baroque symphony of a novel. Unjustly neglected. Its reputation will continue to grow.
