My fandom hot take is that the rise in officially licensed fan merch is bad actually. Corporations should instead just let fans make merch without needing a corporate stamp of approval

I happened to be in a bookshop today and after seeing this post I picked up the first couple of volumes of Witch Hat Atelier and Si is not wrong. The art is genuinely extraordinary.

If you're manga-curious, this accessible and beautiful storytelling might be a good place to start.
