I wish I had better news to share. Sprite passed overnight despite fighting as hard as she could and despite the best care she could have hoped to receive. She was kept warm and on oxygen, and now she can rest.

I hope so. She's just such a tiny soul and she's been through so much.

Update: They called as I was on my way home to say they weren't sure if she was going to make it as she wasn't perching or doing well at all. I pulled over and sobbed on the shoulder of the highway.

But they opted to try something, and updated to say she was responding well to it. Fingers crossed.

We were at the original vet for 10 hours and I went well over 24 hours without sleep from Saturday to Sunday. Avocado keeps calling for her. :(

Sprite has been at the avian specialist e-vet since Sunday morning after being rushed to a different e-vet after hours on Saturday due to being eggbound. The egg ruptured but was removed, and she's eating but struggling still to breathe.

Fingers crossed I can get my baby home soon.
