Soon, I hope.

“Moderately inspiring” Bailey, 2023 Previously the (Labour) Member of Parliament for Ilam, Aotearoa NZ. Former midwife and lecturer. Pro choice. Pro democracy. Pro science. Proponent of kindness and empathy in politics. Yes, politics. Opinions my own.
Soon, I hope.
I’m not in London and it seems excessive to fly there just for a coffee. Excessive but maybe necessary 😂
Even the best baristas can’t change floor sweepings into a decent flat white.
I also miss my husband and children.
Just in case they see this.
(I’ll gloss over the fact that my husband is the creator of the truly spectacular coffee in our whare)
You are so right. And wise!
(PS. I absolutely acknowledge my privilege and self centredness here!)
In utterly inconsequential news which you’d be forgiven for not giving one fig for … I’ve been in the UK for a long while now and no, I have not acclimated to the dreadful coffee. The ‘good’ coffee is dreadful.
I wanna come hooome! ☕️
I know, I know, the world is <waves> and all I want is coffee.
Would buy.
Well, were it my call, which it is not, I’d say the back up is the potential withdrawal of the use of the site if conditions for its use are not met.
Very much above my pay grade, however.
Don’t forget Dr Emily Henderson who took the seat off him! Amazing wāhine.
They gave a cast iron guarantee that AoNZ launch sites would not be used for military purposes (there is GPS crossover, but we are smart enough to understand this). Transparency is therefore required, rather than optional.
(My opinions are my own … yadda yadda)
It’s bedtime somewhere …
By way of contrast, under Labour, NZ was number 4 - with 50% women in Parliament AND 50% of our Ministers were women.
Great work*, NZ.

*sarcasm
You’re right. Typo on my side!
I feel the same, but about being a nun thanks to Sr Michael. And obviously not ‘again’!
Rata will be great! We so badly need young, smart wāhine in politics.
I’d LOVE Ilam to go back to red … but I’m not the candidate this time. I didn’t put myself forward for selection - I’m currently in the UK after my stepmothers death. I’ll be back soon (please god!)
Some cash in case vending machines only take cash.
Whatever you’d take on a long flight - so headphones, earplugs, eye mask, basic toiletries, change of undies/clothes, layers for warmth, iPad and charger if you use one, maybe his pillow from home for him?
Lots of positive thoughts your way 😊

I worked at the same time at the Fantastic Tropical Gardens! Ahhh those were the days 🤣
The old Chateau is long gone.
Were you there when that drunk guy jumped into the sea by Sands?
Um, no? I just took the pic at St Ouens just before I posted it!
A long, flat sandy beach stretches into the distance. Two horses stand silhouetted against the calm blue sea with a pink granite Norman tower behind them on a rocky outcrop. The tide is very low, maybe as a result of the blood moon, and you could walk all the way to the tower right now and only get your feet wet. Maybe your legs a bit. I dunno because I can’t be bothered!
Beach of the day - Jersey 🇯🇪edition.
I am not in the sea because the moon dragged the tide far far away.
This beach is a wild Atlantic beach, usually great for surfing, but you’d never know today! Calm as calm can be.
The beach is! My camerawork not so much 🤣
It’s perfect for sea witching!
I think you all need another Jersey 🇯🇪 beach today, ne? Ouaisne today.
Mammoths were driven off this pink granite cliff by early humans for a yummy mammoth kai.
Yes I am standing in the sea. Again.
Gorgeous, J ! 🥰
The near drowning was many years ago … and hypothermia was indeed a factor although it was summer the time.
Me too! Although it taught me a lot about the power of nature 😬
