On July 30 in 1995 Hourglass Nebula The Hourglass Nebula has been formed by a dying Sun-like star shedding its outer layers of gas. One theory suggests that the hourglass shape is produced as a fast stellar wind encounters a slowly expanding cloud that is more dense near the star’s equator than near its poles

One of my favorite toku effects. Entirely a practical effect aside from the text, done with a large sheet of styrofoam and a short throw projector.

Using Siege Sideswipe for the Comparison

Extreme closeup as an ear tipped brown tabby (Calvin) shoves his nose at my camera in an effort to steal the treat in my hand. Behind him is a blurry ear tipped grey/brown and white tabby (Claudius) who is the one the treat in my hand is intended for. Calvin's eyes are hugely dilated as he focuses on his goal.

Accidental Calvin pic while I was trying to get video of treat time last night. 😆 I started the lickable treats for Claudius - the cat in the background - because he was so extremely skittish. But Calvin figured it out, so here we are.
