Rewatched Elemental last night, what a beautiful film, probably my favorite from Pixar from the last 10/15 years (and that's a lot to say).
Amazing world-building, simple concept, deep topics, only able to be told in animation. Very Pixar!!
Modern highly stylized 3D animation (even the most popular feature films) uses 2s for characters and that takes me out of the moment every single time!
If the style is not like stop motion, or if it's a 2D style that I don't buy as such, it feels very uncanny to me.
And even 2D uses 1s sometimes!

Watched first two episodes of Win or Lose and is straight fantastic!
Spellbound had pieces of really good animation.
It gave me high Tangled vibes!
Nice event held by Autodesk in their Montreal office. Great presentations by DNEG animation, Cinesite, Felix and Paul Studios and others.
Also refreshing to meet again old friends and colleagues!
