I was reading a few months ago that several of these supposed refugees are reconsidering after discovering very little social safety net and the cost of health care. South Africa has public health care.
Wow.
Bob Dylan and Simon and Garfinkle, I always like covers of their songs more than the originals
I would say that moving from gas heat to electric heat pump was an awesome choice, but they also cranked the electric costs, the delivery rate is insane now, and I'm feeling better about the cost of going hybrid gridlinked with batteries
I have never heard that cover before, awesome. I have Plastic Bertrand and Elvis Motello versions
Yup, just did
Protest sign from MN that says, βDEARLY BELOVED. WE ARE GATHERED HERE TODAY TODISMANTLE THIS THING CALLED ICE.β with a picture of Prince in the left hand lower corner.
10/10 ICE protest sign
I live here and I wouldn't if I were you, really. Cancel any tickets, demand a charge back, and give the fascist take over as the reason
So, she was a good person who wanted to protect the families in her community against out of control thugs with no vetting and little training, and then they killed her. That's what the rest of the article says, right?
So, Mum is Brit, dad was Israeli and Russian stepmother. I always have to fling myself between my tea cup and whoever is serving, because I never put milk in my tea, the folks in Russia and the Middle East were appalled at the idea of doing that.
Will check that location daily for the next 3 years, ya never know, it cold happen again
Is there a way to indicate you are boycotting aside from just not going?
Exactly my first thought, the moment I heard someone mention the ceiling caught fire
My line on that, as part of a community with a wide age spread, is no dating someone who you were a major part of their lives when they were kids. It just gives me the ick
Well, aside from American high school football athletes who let their final game be their only worthwhile accomplishment
Did he purposely add those tags to his post? Who boasts about high school as an adult or makes it part of their adult identity?
A dorm of 18-22 year olds is not kind. "Killed da wabbit, killed the wabbit" was often started when entering the room
The best part of my story about it was the other guy who jumped with me. It was a group of 10 from my university inScotland. He was also an American, but an aggressive vegan, in mid 80s Scotland who would tell you your dinner had a mother etc. He landed on a rabbit, killing it instantly
I shattered my ankle, but the real end was when a ped onco nurse jumped and her chute didnt go with her,in front of a bunch or her patients and family. This was before tandem jumps or those rectangular sales you can walk the landing, just round chutes. It was a bad idea
Chest strap caught around my neck so it half strangled me so I didnt come out.It was in the mid-0s in Scotland. There was a brief fad of raising money by doing a day of training and then a jump, like the icebucket thing. Several very bad accidents led to it being banned by parliament
Hi, I'm a faulty parachute harness
Hasn't happened in MA, we have more millionaires and billionaires now than when the tax was started a couple years ago. People don't want to move to no where places with no culture just to save a fraction of their ill gotten gaines

My view is if there is wifi stuff I can also do without wifi, I'm fine. I kinda wish I had gotten the hot tub connection that would let me up the temp from the sofa, but I am perfectly able to get up and go outside and press the buttons.
Wirecutter has a new stated policy. After Bosch being their number 1,2,and 3 choice they say they will no longer cover them, or any appliance that has functionality only accessible thru an app, because the app could turn into a subscription or stop being supported. Wirecutter has other suggestions
OK, so the problem with Bosch is that every single version has functions only accessible thru the app. My mum was a die hard Bosch fan, and being a bit persnickety, bought 2 new ones every 8 years or so. They lost her with this, and this 80 yo is telling all her friend in Greenwich to not buy them
She's an Ivy Leages educated woman in her 40s who has been a journalist of one sort or another her entire professional life. Stop excusing bad behaviour from people aas inexperience or being "kids" when they are grownups
