Map shows where new fast London 'Bakerloop' bus route will run within months Londoners have until March to say where they want the new bus stops.

The consultation for the new Bakerloop express bus service from Lewisham to Waterloo is now open. The proposed route would mean quicker, easier bus journeys, and will also help to demonstrate how the Bakerloo line tube extension would benefit South East London.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan Freezes Bus Fares For Sixth Time
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan Freezes Bus Fares For Sixth Time YouTube video by Mayor of London Sadiq Khan

For the sixth time since becoming Mayor in 2016, I’m freezing bus fares in London.

More people use the bus in our city than any other form of public transport. Freezing these fares will help Londoners on lower incomes struggling with the cost of living.

Thinking about residents who don’t meet requirements of Blue Badge parking scheme which is for blind people, people who have a severe disability in both arms and people who have difficulties walking due to a physical or psychological issue. Doesn’t include residents recovering from operations etc

Agreed - but if public transport is not running smoothly - particularly for people with disabilities - then good news to enjoy the festive offer in the centre of London
