The Cabinet Secretary is still publicly misrepresenting the state of play in his substantially redrawn constituency. Not only is the Conservative horse not in the race due to that party's collapse in support, but the boundary changes euthanised the poor thing.
omg everybody go draw a horse this is what the internet was made for

Anyway, enjoy the World Cup!
So bleak that net zero, a decade old Conservative climate policy that is wholly inadequate in scope and ambition, is now too radical for parts of the Labour Party
Sharron Davies ranting against 15 minute cities, because of course she is.
Suzanne Moore in the Telegraph saying she wants to... kill all dogs??
Julie Burchill asking "does it matter if Grok undresses us all?" in The Spectator
Graham Linehan in the midst of his now four-day-long double down on Alex Pretti's murder being justified and fine.
Calling transphobia a 'gateway drug' to the far right undersells it. It's pure accelerant. Grimly fascinating to guess what crankery becomes any famous transphobe's secondary obsession, cos they all have one: 15 minute cities are fascism! Grok noncing is cool! ICE are good! We should kill all dogs!
You'd think the software industry would produce software, but mostly it's smug bastards.

There was this blog post as well, which is a good explainer of the practical realities of getting off US stuff.

Today marks just six months to go until the 2026 Scottish Parliament Election! As is now usual, I'll be looking to commission a pre-election poll. If you can, please chip in to the crowdfunder here - all donations gratefully received, and even if you can't donate, please share!

This is your regular reminder that 'outwith' may not be understood outwith Scotland.
That England has had its three worst harvests on record inside the past five years really should be being treated as a much bigger cause for concern than is currently the case. www.businessgreen.com/news/4520171...
Bluesky isnβt perfect but at least its owner isnβt demanding violent insurrection in the UK from thousands of miles away

by the beers i can see available in Isreal it's clear Vault City were selling beer upto at least September 2024 by this point Isreal had already murdered 10000+ children
The upside to not doing Eurovision whilst they continue to feature a country absolutely committing genocide and heinous war crimes is that we did our non-Eurovision socialising earlier and I can therefore DIE IN THIS HEAT in peace and comfort by myself (my living room gets the sun ALL DAY)
Trans people need support in the face of the most heinous rollback of minority rights in the UK for ages. Members of Scotland's national parliament have demanded LGBT charities be defunded. I've set up a monthly donation to LGBT Youth Scotland as a result. You can too: www.justgiving.com/lgbtyouth

We believe the Supreme Court β which disgracefully refused to hear from trans people before its decision last week β has placed the UK in breach of its obligations under the Human Rights Act.
So weβre readying a challenge β join us:

Good.
It matters more that Coughlin is being public about her disgust. She could have just ignored it. She chose not to.
Good for her.
Better for us.

This is just simple queerphobia. Utterly nasty. And to do this days after Jamie Greene, a gay MSP, left the party? Absolutely proving his point.
The absolute state of Scottish politics right now. Completely and utterly shameful. Physically sickens me.
IF SOMEONE ASKS WHY WE'RE PROTESTING IN SCOTLAND WHEN WE HAVE ADP: β’ While many of the Cuts are to PIP, some also affect things like universal credit which will directly affect Scots The PIP cuts will have a knock-on effect in the Barnett consequentials, meaning Scotland will get less money because of the decisions made in England. We already spend millions out of the block grant trying to protect people from Westminster cuts and every new one makes it harder β’ The rhetoric being used to justify these cuts affects all of us, twisting public opinion and exacerbating stigma, discrimination and hate towards us β’ And we are also protesting in solidarity with our community south of the border
A few people have asked why Scots are protesting when Scotland has the Adult Disability Payment and not PIP. Here are some of the reasons.

Today is a good day to leave the Labour party
More like the team have to get as much exposure as they can in case he breaks something and is out for months..

While I process the announcement today by UK Labour Govt r.e. cuts to disability payments, I want to be clear on a few things.
1. Disabled people live with a payment penalty: being disabled costs more. These proposed changes will entrench this inequality further.
[1/3]
It's also an awful day for disabled people in the UK. As I feared, the UK government has responded to protest by narrowing the focus of its planned cuts to target those whose conditions are least well understood and who have the least ability to stand up for themselves. #disability
Three years and a couple of days ago this was our first brew.. out of date and still going strong.
Nailed it. Thanks Dave.
