CONTEXT: for this prompt, I chose this poem where oscar speaks of lovers who basically "love like us, but part like we’re fated to". i see it as a doomed but unregretful love. in this piece merlin and gwaine are caught in a quiet moment that feels timeless, but there’s a softness here that carries weight because they know it won’t last. the poem speaks of love blooming like spring, only to wither under truth and time. that’s merlin and gwaine: two souls who found something real in a world that won’t let it live. still, like the poem says, “I am not sorry that I loved you". they're both not sorry for loving eachother in this short, doomed times.
