A knit sweater in progress. The yoke of the sweater is laying flat on a reflective glass surface. The sweater is three colored, with a motif of repeating red diamonds and aubergine dots with a pink main color. The motif repeats over three rows. There is also a ribbed collar.
A hand knitted aubergine sweater in plain stockinette stitch lays flat on a wrinkled, earthy pink blanket.
Iβm told itβs indie dyed week over at #ShowMeYourKnits !

Les scientifiques américains sont réellement en danger. Jouer avec ce type de situation seulement pour gagner un peu de crédit politique est très dangereux.
Petit thread.
An unfinished hot pink knitted cardigan lays flat on a wooden surface, stitches still live on the needle. The neck and shoulders have been knit, with a saddle shoulder construction.
Some good progress here. Iβm modding the Pernille Larsen Late summer wrap to have an applied double knit edge and a much tighter gauge. About to block+try on to assess sleeve cap. If fit is good, raglan shaping and then just endless front increases on the body. #knitsky #knitting
This is actually a recurring dream of mine.
An intricate fair isle stranded colorwork knit in progress in red, pink, beige and brown tones
Iβve been working on and off on this Marie Wallin Yell cardigan for over a year and restarted once. Lately Iβve gotten a few rows done a day. Iβll finish some day. Itβs fun, but just a lot of knitting.
Reposted because forgot to tag. #ShowMeYourKnits #knitsky #knitting π§Ά
The picture shows some loose hanks of hot pink yarn laid out on a surface, frogged recently so it has the texture of ramen noodles.
My last WIP isnβt really a WIP yet. I knit a cashmere tee last year that fit really poorly, so I frogged it this week to make a set in sleeve one instead. Hopefully have enough yarn for long sleeves. #ShowMeYourKnits #knitsky #knitting
Thank you!
Yell cardigan by Marie Wallin in her book Shetland
A plastic tub is filled with four pink and two beige balls of fingering weight yarn. Below are two sets of knitting. On the left, a couple of inches are knit in the round with short rows, in pink broken rib with thin beige stripes. On the left, only one row of pink yarn has been cast on, where the neck will be shaped with increases.
In this one I am experimenting with adding more shaping to the neckline of the Petite Knit Friday Tee, using the cotton merino by knitting for olive. #ShowMeYourKnits #knitsky #knitting
An in-progress knit sweater on the needles, worked top down with a raglan construction. The main color is a dusty pink. There is a stranded colorwork motif in a rusty red, with some accents in a deep aubergine. Only the beginning of the yoke has been knit. Stitches have been picked up for the collar. Behind the work in progress, the three balls of yarn are in a plastic bin.
Usually I only have 1-2 WIP at a time. But right now I have 4, all sweaters. So the new #ShowMeYourKnits prompt is perfect. This one is the Inge sweater. Iβm modding the neck so Iβm adding the collar now so I can see if I like it or need to restart. Yarn is BFL/masham by @sonderyarnco.bsky.social
If you needed to grow your own fibre though, the answer would probably be flax or hemp, and sheep.
Well, I did do some practice blocks first and no one needs to see these π«£
Thank you!
Yes, also didnβt occur to me until after. Like I said, I havenβt taken the time to confirm. Good luck with your projects!!!
Some of the wovens, not womenβs!
Finally, I didnβt look into it much, but after I bought them I noticed their politics mightβ¦ not be very aligned with mine, and, from the looks of your profile, yours. I havenβt looked deeply or confirmed, but this may be something you would want to research for yourself it you care about that!
2/ the weights are all over the place. Some are thin and stretchy, but some were quite sturdy and a bit stiff. 3/ I think theyβre probably a bit harder to handle than your average quilting cotton, but ultimately it worked out? I donβt have anything to compare it to since it was my first time
So, I can answer some of this! 1/ I donβt think they frayed more than any other cotton, but some of the womenβs had a lot of long floats and I had some trouble with them getting caught in my feed dogs sometimes.
Yes! They are!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you!
They are! But it was difficult to manage the directionality of the patterns and all the threads in the back because theyβre woven, not printed. Just a lot to chew as an overconfident beginner. But I love the results
Thank you!
Thank you so much β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Thatβs what I should have done!!! This was a head scratcher at times and I was not prepared !
Thank you, thatβs so kind π₯°π₯°
Thank you so much π
A handmade quilt top is spread over a queen size bed. It is made up of stars layered over simple square blocks in warm tones (pinks, yellows, reds and white). Many of the fabrics are patterned, with stripes and florals.
I made this? And itβs huge?!
Finished piecing my first quilt top. Learned a couple things. Mainly that I have no idea what dimensions in inches represent, and also that first time quilters should use simpler fabric.
Still in shock I didnβt mess up while assembling.

I tried embroidery. Useful skill, but not super into it. Iβll display it though. #craftsky #embroidery
