This comes after the government announces a new £3.5 billion strategy to tackle homelessness, with commitments to halve long term rough sleeping, end the use of B&Bs for families, and prevent more households from becoming homeless.

One in 61 people in Manchester are currently experiencing a form of homelessness.
That is 9,589 people across our city, including 4,678 children. New data from Shelter shows that homelessness in Greater Manchester is among the highest in the country.
