We have to get money out of politics somehow so that this sort of flagrant spending/influencing of elections stops.

They hide behind vague names like "Elect Chicago Women" "Chicago Progressive Partnership" etc, and though they're clearly out to elect Pro-Israel candidates, none of their flyers, phone banking, etc. are based around that. It's fundamentally dishonest.

I don't know if people really understand how gross it is that the Pro-Israel lobby is spending so much on random house races. There is no reason for anyone to drop 7 figures into random races like this, and not even accurately represent their goals in their advertising.

Got into an argument with product team at my job because we implemented a 40 minute lockout period for someone trying to access something twice. He said "if you had a high end vehicle that made you wait 40 minutes to turn the ignition that wouldn't be acceptable". I said "that's owning a Tesla".
