Graphic of a melting earth with the words Earth Day Rally, Oakland County Earth Day, Royal Oak Farmer's Market, Saturday April 18, 2026
Michigan friends: Reckoning will once again appear at the Oakland County Earth Day Rally and fair, organized by @michiganlcv.bsky.social at the Royal Oak Farmer's Market on April 18. If you've been despairing that nobody cares, this is the place to shake it off! Don't let the fascists get you down
We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art, and very often in our art, the art of words.

Promo collage for the Happy Endings reading series. Thereβs a potato sprouting, someone dancing in ragged clothes, the rear end of a dog, some glitchy textures, a moist mushroom, a child crawling around, and the cutout block text βHappy Endingsβ. Oh and bones. And fur. Itβs all faded together so it has a unified atmospheric look.
Iβll be at the Make-Out Room in San Francisco with Happy Endings this Tuesday, 7:15pm, reading from my forthcoming collection The Wildcraft Drones (out May 21 from @stelliform.press ). The theme is βgoing feralβ πΏ

AI shills: it can help you visualise ideas.
Me, with Aphantasia: I can't visualise for shit and I come up with ideas and draw them just fine thanks, only now I have to navigate piles of slop every time I need to find reference pics. π

This is a great story, dark, but ultimately hopeful. Perhaps what we all need on this particular Monday. <3

Some very generous person or persons just donated $50 to Reckoning using PayPal Giving Fund, which provides no means of figuring out who or why! So for lack of a better avenue through which to say so: thank you very much, mysterious benefactor(s)! We appreciate you
As someone from hurricane country, I've survived no few hurricanes and too many carpetbaggers in their aftermaths. This piece is wonderfully and frustratingly accurate. I hope "the main character has a punchable face" comes across as the high compliment I intend it to be.
Absolute Masterpiece.
We get to do what we do thanks to our volunteer staff's incredible willingness to donate their time, sweat and tears, a generous grant from Accelerate Resilience Los Angeles (ARLA), and supporters like you. If you're interested, there are lots of ways to help out: reckoning.press/support-us/
