In a world where Man City and Chelsea always play each other in their home blue kits… I think we could play our normal home kit and be fine. But suspect we’ll be in green.

Completely terrible site. My assumption was always Mike Ashley demanded it to be like that to punish the fans for booing him, but it’s been long enough since the takeover for them to change it and they haven’t in any meaningful way.
It sounds odd but I’m happy to be at the match even on nights like last night. I’m very frustrated with the result and how we played, but even on a bad night there aren’t many places I’d rather be.
The odd thing is how little transfer interest there has been in Bruno in his time here. The odd sniff from Man City occasionally but nothing like what we’ve seen for many other players.
Am I reading the season ticket prices rises correctly - if you are a disabled person in club 1892 you are getting a 72% price rise (ticket up 15%, disabled discount down 25%) I’m not disabled but the guy who sits next to me is and that feels not OK. #nufc
What’s the rationale for the 0% stance? On the face of it that looks a very purist position that was always likely to result in disappointment, was there an opportunity to discuss the %level of increase- from the outside that seems where the main issue is (ie 15% increase when inflation is 3.3%)
I think responding to NUFC feed with sarcastic comments should be our new hobby.
I think it’s because no one has any confidence we could buy him. Including me. I think he’s off to a very high tier team… so as we have Sandro signed to long term deal that would be much safer bet.
When I look at Spurs they seem to be playing below the level that good players short on confidence play at. It does look deliberate, or at least not being bothered whether they stay up or not.
Definitely a lot of echos with our first relegation of from PL. Same issue with players who feel the best thing for them financially and career wise is relegation.
Was it a dirty protest in dressing room?
Bergvall is obviously very talented. The thing is I could make a case for buying 80% of Spurs team. But if they are so good….
Considered answers like that is not how social media works - I need your immediate uninformed hot take! 😀
Bergvall was really good in cup against us so definitely has the talent - you confident in the character?
Wouldn’t touch any Spurs players if they get relegated. There are some very skilful players in that team, but they all think they are getting a big transfer at end of season if they get relegated, and they seem to be fine with that.Don’t think we should be the mugs that recruit poor characters #nufc
Yes.Much as I love Sandro, Anderson is 3 years younger so if signed to 6 year contract would be his prime years for an elite player, qualifies as club trained player for European competitions so gives squad flexibility, and I’d be confident you’d have him full length of contract.
Also makes money. Chelsea have made £250m from academy graduate sales in last 3 years. (NUFC annual revenue in total is £350m…so would make a massive difference to us if we could create a pipeline of players coming through)
It’s nuts today. Worst? When Andre Onana cost £50m then spent a season throwing the ball in his own net?
If England haven’t found their form yet I can’t wait to see what they look like when they do. #engvnz #t20WC
100%. if you have more money you can borrow more money, and generally at a massively better interest rate. This is definitely not fair but I can’t get irate about it regarding football when there are people really struggling to make ends meet where this is a massive issue.
He probably is the best no 9 in Germany even playing out of position. BTW I’m not in the anti-Nick camp - I really want him to succeed and would be delighted if he did. I just don’t see we are on a trajectory where that is likely to happen.
Yes agree with all that - I was thinking the training session point as I was watching it (also why I think A Murphy was asked to play 2 positions)
I think the problem is wherever he plays for us he’s playing out of position. He’s a second striker in a team that only plays one striker. As talented as he obviously is I’m not sure he’s going to be able to overcome this, but really hope I’m proved wrong.
I agree but shows how thin we are in defence at minute.
Talk us through the process- how does the establishment instruct the junior journalist in Manchester who uploads the photos what photo to pick?
Fair enough (although I think most of Wilson’s books are excellent) Perceptions of bias are a funny thing - my mother (who is otherwise well adjusted) believes the BBC weather forecast is biased against the NE because she thinks it only mentions us when it’s rain and cold weather
Saying the media is biased against us is all part of the football fan experience - every club thinks this (see also: the refs are biased, VAR is biased, there are mysterious forces at league Hq conspiring against us). It’s all part of the fun so long as you don’t take it seriously.
Wouldn’t people stop doing it if you called it a foul? So you wouldn’t have lots more free kicks because players would adjust and not do it. I think what you would get it is a lot more set piece goals if what defenders could get away with was reduced - that may or may not be a good thing.
Was match abandoned due to lack of interest on Steve Bruce’s birthday?
Well done ref for giving a penalty completely unaided by technology #nufc
