does anyone have recommendations for super quick TAT high accuracy short read NGS data (ILL or very open to disruptors!) in Boston? Thank you!

Thank you, totally with you on that it should show distortion / error enough for a preliminary process check. Iβll let you know if thereβs anything exciting to report :)
Thank you thank you!!! Did you have enough data to check for signal change from the biotin at all? (Trying to do a process check just on position of biotin incorp, so hoping I could be lazy use a pre-existing basecalling alg to call them as modified instead of having to generate training data!)

Close up view showing fraction of metals. Fun stuff.
Just had a sample of the Eaton Fire ash that is in my driveway run on the department XRF. Is there titanium (new house paint)? Yup. Lead (old house paint)? You betcha. Heavy metals? Check. Treat that ash like it's toxic folks (because it is)

Wow, very early! Thank you for sharing that
has anyone run nanopore sequencing on biotinylated DNA? I have seen it in this paper but not since - would love to have a chat with anyone with experience! academic.oup.com/nar/article/...
π§¬We're excited to share a series of announcements: John Finn has joined Basecamp Research as CSO, we've opened a US office and lab & we built one of Europe's largest industrial supercomputers with NVIDIA Accelerated Computing. Some thoughts on this call to action:
I am very optimistic on future applications of industrial and environmental microbiology for environmental remediation and sustainable bioproduction - it's a big interest of mine! - but some caveats to be realistic about:
