@domesticat.bsky.social and I have spent the last several days making and freezing several batches of homemade chicken stock, so vaporized chicken has been filling the air.

This little dude has been GRAVELY concerned that the air is made of meat. Perhaps he fears succumbing to Chicken Lung.

I start the very same regimen on Thursday. I've been side-eyeing those ice gloves. I'm dreading it, but I want to be able to look back later and say I did everything I could to keep my hands functional.

Shit got a little spicy down at the ICE building today. Street medics helped a lot of people, especially the children who were teargassed without warning. I'm just a dork with a helmet and shield, but I was able to help a little as well.

I used the AcousticBrainz Tags plugin (picard.musicbrainz.org/plugins/) in my big cleanup / CD archival project. I dream of an automagic Plex playlist of songs matching genre + BPM.

The rounds of chemo progress slowly. My frequent naps are guarded by my tuxie. He doesn't want to be petted or held, but he keeps choosing proximity to me.

When my wife was diagnosed with cancer a couple months ago, I figured I was done with protesting for at least six months, because @domesticat.bsky.social comes first, period.

But here I am putting on my helmet and shield again, because god FUCKING dammit.

Chemotherapy has taken much of my sense of taste.

But #buldak is still spicy and I can still taste that!

@jongraywb.bsky.social if you need a sewing pattern for a Hobbes, instead of a crochet pattern, I've made several from www.etsy.com/listing/1757... and can confirm the end result is excellent.

This isn't so much "losing" my hair as it is "shedding explosively".

I share my cats' bewilderment. This is no week to shed one's undercoat, y'all!
