One of my favourite breweries.
One of my favourite breweries.
Mine launched the lid last year and broke it in two. Still worth it.
Mine's arriving today. But our postman is a fast walker.
A bit of Northern Soul with Stuart Maconie hosting.
I'm thinking of the sequel Mothers Pride - The Reality...The pub owners realise that they have to sell their homebrew at below cost to shift it and the pub is a money pit.
Still blame their speaker stack for hearing loss.
A lovely write up of Burton pub perfection.

Spot on. Too many superfluous words and not enough specific actions.
I assume she cycled to South America?
Say no to Curling Black Label.
An empty pub in the Peak District.
The difficulties of opening for lunch at a pub in the Peak District. Pre-Covid it would have had a decent lunchtime trade.
Beermat showing a competition for a trip to Madrid. Ironic given Madrid is brewed in the UK.
Probably throw a trip round the brewery in as well.
Fascinating article. A few years ago I arranged to meet a cask-loving friend of mine from France in the Boltmakers. Our post lunch hike to Haworth took far longer than planned. Perfect pub.
You tap it and say your majesty, I'd like a pint of....Part of a TV series set in pubs called Small Profits.
Wonderful place that we still talk about years later.
Strangely not on the OS app when you zoom in to 1:25,000. A decision that Landranger map users don't matter!
An OS map extract showing an impassable river crossing footpath.
I remember this river crossing on the OS 1:50,000 requiring a detour.

The perfect Church Inn in Chelmorton near Buxton has the excellent Moravka lager brewed 2 miles away.

I do like that Shropshire Gold π
I don't usually post this stuff but.

I keep thinking about the dream couple sharing a cell.
The number of third rate Bond villains seems to be on the increase.
I assume Reform must be involved?
Sometimes copy just gets you in terms of copy and the moment. For dad and daughter it was a marmite and butter toast morning today after a very traumatic yesterday. It set us up for our hospital visit. Your writing iced the cake. Thank you.
And so it proved. Only 1 Magpie, but 9 other birds relieved the gloom. Anyway back to the Burns Night meets Catalonia goat collab.
Dull wet weather in the Peak District.
Not looking good for Big Garden Birdwatch. I predict 2 magpies.
Congratulations, I'd suggest that WHU should concentrate on the Premier League and ignore the irrelevant upcoming cup match. π
