Four ILY pets characters signed out in order from left to right as 2026. The first two are green, female, leaning toward the left, looking at 6 with surprise. 0 is a pink male character with a bead bracelet on his left ankle; he looks at 6 with worry. The second two are a chubby purple female with long rectangular glittery nails; she looks at 6 with worry. 6 is an orange nerdy character wearing glasses, displaying "2026," and has a band-aid; he is puking. At the bottom of the picture, it says "2026!" and the background is abstract. There is a Sakeozo watermark in the corner
four colorful anthropomorphic hands characters lined up and they are slightly dancing, these hands are signing in ASL from left to right, 2025.

Happy New 2026 to everyone. =w= I included 2024 and 2025.
Pixel style graphic depicting flames in front of a building and a dark sky. The text says: The year is 2025. Civilization has progressed little in the past 25 years.

Premium newsletter: Meta, Google, Amazon and Microsoft need $2 Trillion in AI revenue by 2030 or they've wasted their capex. The massive cost of building data centers and constant decay in value of expensive-to-run GPUs may make AI profits impossible to achieve.

In 1994, Italian artist Marco Patrito released a 3D scifi visual novel called Sinkha on Windows 3.1
Info about the game is hard to come by. It doesn't even have a Mobygames entry.
Gameplay is non-existant so far. You just read the story, enjoy music and amazing visuals, and keep pressing next.
Comic. [Two people on shore looking at body of water] PERSON 1: Hey, whereβs that big island we were looking at this morning? PERSON 2 with short hair: Oh, itβs underwater. The oceanβs depth here goes up and down by like ten feet every day. PERSON 1: What? PERSON 2: Itβs because the planet has a big moon orbiting near the surface. It causes weird gravity effects. PERSON 1: *What???* [caption] People here are used to them, but tides are one of the weirdest and most sci-fi elements of life on Earth.

A Wizard of Earthsea!
I know a girl who knitted a sweater for her boyfriend of nine years, and of course, you know how it ended. I'm a very strong believer in the sweater curse, although I can't knit, and I'm not paired off in any capacity.
I'm looking at this celiac organization and I cant help but wonder why so many of them feature a certain glutenous grain in their logos. Its kinda like having an organization centred around peanut allergies and having your logo be that Mr. Peanut gentleman. Hardly see how it inspires any confidence.
Haven't touched this for a while.
I want to find some ppl to follow. I like reading, languages, mycology, & computers. I used to like climbing and maybe will get back into it... If my health improves. Also, I'm Deaf/HoH with a CI, so it'll be nice to connect with other deafies.
Ohh okay! I'll take a look!
I see the two pictures, are there more? I don't use this app often.
How delightful!

Schedule for NYPD ASL Interpreter Certification Pathway says you can "become an ASL certified member of service." Next to the heading is a graphic of the ASL alphabet, but T is completely wrong and several other letters are a bit odd. Schedule is February 29, Overview of RID Certification Process. March 4 and 6, theory and practice of interpreting. March 11 and 13, Interpreting 1, ASL to English. March 25 and 27, ASL for emergency situations. April 1 and 3, Interpreting 2, English to ASL. April 8 and 10, RID test preparation.
Hearing people shenanigans: buckle in, it's a long one.
A hearing woman, Jessica Wohlstetter, who is not a certified interpreter, developed a curriculum to teach ASL at the NYPD Academy. She claims that after 11 class sessions, you can take the RID certification exam. (Again, she has not passed it.)
so much of disability discourse is "Beyond Limits", "No Excuses" or "Don't Dis My Ability". Why can't we also have "listening to limits", "Not an Excuse, A Real Reason" and "Don't Deny My Disability". Aren't those more honest? I think so.
These were, as far as I know, the first two articles to cover the issue of "must lift 20 pounds" etc. in job descriptions as ableist and illegal. There was just an article the other day at IHE that didn't mention these pieces, but why should they, they aren't online.
the first
Jalon Hall, who is Black and Deaf, was featured on Googleβs corporate social media accounts βfor making #LifeAtGoogle more inclusive!β But she says the company has discriminated against her on the basis of her disability and race.

I must not reply. Discourse is the mind-killer. Discourse is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will scroll past the take. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. When the take has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

No, but it can pretend to, just long enough for you to pay us for it.
