Even with climate change, we have enough water if we manage resources right. We need a well funded, well staffed regulator empowered to enforce rules, an overhaul of business use of water, repairs to leaking pipes, + to act to drinking water sources from forever chemical contamination.
Also the effect of the Polar Bears not hunting seals may mean more seals and less fish. Less fish more fish prey, more algae etc. Ecosystems are fragile, a good “story” for one part of the system is not the full story.
This is being reported as a “good news story” by the BBC. Not as a catastrophic change to ecosystems which it most certainly is. The change of prey for these apex predators will affect multiple ecosystems and eventually the predator.
