That’s not my experience. I spent much of my childhood, in school classes, experimenting with my writing, shifting it this way and that, seeking beauty

I don’t understand that: you’re an artist, why didn’t you apply that to your writing?

Illegible, but beautiful?

Signature moves: are we losing the ability to write by hand? We are far more likely to use our hands to type or swipe than pick up a pen. But in the process we are in danger of losing cognitive skills, sensory experience – and a connection to history

This has even more bite in a time of AI encroachment
