I gather there is an emulator built-in called Wine used for some windows applications, there's no Linux version of. So far I've had luck finding either the actual app, or a 1-to-1 similar. Like Office is Libre Office. Right now just trying to get all my streaming software loaded. So far so good.

I will not being using Win12. That is confirmed. 11 is bad enough. Couple years ago I was hopeful that Win11 was just going through a phase, but now that we know it's getting worse INTENTIONALLY, this Windows 3.1 baby is gone.
Funny enough, I'm just starting to get into the Bazzite distro of Linux, on the suggestion of a friend. Supposedly it's great for gaming. So far it's been going pretty well, feels weird to not have the OS screaming for attention all the time. I can give you more info if you like.
