On another note, we'll be discussing the intense action from last weekend's 4 Hours of Fuji, part of the Race To a Cause 2026 sim racing series. There's big news about the future related to that, and it might involve this podcast.
Whatever you think of Formula E's Evo Sessions - and holding them in Saudi Arabia is certainly a good way of working out which YouTube creators care about human rights - we'll be covering them on the podcast, along with rounding up the two pro races from the weekend.
Motion Racing's @saschalumi.bsky.social is live on commentary for the 4 Hours of Fuji, part of Road To a Cause 2026, over on the @prismaticmotorsports.com Twitch at 3pm UK www.twitch.tv/prismaticmot...
Check out the latest episode of Sascha Realises Stuff Some People Already Knew, with @georgiesends.bsky.social and @saschalumi.bsky.social also discussing the art, and joy, of racing in the rain, or on a damp track. Also on all audio platforms.

If Da Costa just got a black and white flag for the chop on MΓΌller, that's so typically FIA. At this point they're refereeing races with no room for personality.
The entire Miami E-Prix is, I think, being run in a mod of GTA Online.

Unfortunately if any F1 presenter asked Toto Wolff or Fred Vasseur those questions, they'd be banned by their teams from interviewing their drivers. Cricket commentators have near-absolute power, but motorsport is access journalism.
Cassidy, if the Stellantis powertrain continues to be faster than the Porsche, is most likely to win the title this season imo. It was nice to see Mortara getting a full race together without incident - he and Mahindra aren't consistent enough, but if he doesn't hit someone, he will usually podium.
Cassidy followed home by Mortara, Rowland, and Dennis, and that's possibly the best of Formula E at the front there (though JEV and Wehrlein are in that group too). Any one of those drivers could easily slot onto the F1 grid and compete.
Most of the drivers still have to use both their Attack Modes, with 11 laps remaining, which is a bit like only doing the bins when you can smell them.
Ticktum, I think, was exactly the person he claims to be now, but, Jason Plato-style, now his anger is a brand, he has to lean into the act in order to build his brand as a driver and a presenter.
I love the level of ****housery that's always been tolerated in Formula E. Rowland is forced off the track just before a full course yellow, then drives into Cassidy, whose rear light is already hanging off.
No, but it sounds like you're referring to the Formula E grid.
Tomorrow I'm (@saschalumi.bsky.social) commentating on the first Road To A Cause simracing event, the Four Hours of Sao Paulo. Start time is 3pm UK, you can watch and join the chat on the @prismaticmotorsports.com Twitch stream.
Buemi might be thinking of rolling out his old "dirty man!" insult from Montreal Season 3.
Starting third: valuable.
Starting a Formula E race without Nyck de Vries next to you: Priceless.
Is it really only me at this time of night typing into Google the words "Edoardo Mortara replica helmet"?
I stepped away from motorsport for a long time. This is why, and why Motion Racing is back.
New piece online.

The next episode of the podcast might be about one of a number of things; it depends entirely on which beloved journalistic figure answers my Discord message first.
A debate I've had is whether Dan Ticktum gets so much aggravation for his whining on the radio because, unlike Fernando Alonso, he whines not in an urbane Oviedo accent, but a nasal Essex accent. Can he be a bit 'Tantrums and Tiaras'? Sure. But Formula E can, at times, look like a very silly sport.

The first Motion Racing Podcast in 2 years goes back to how the podcast began, with a good old barney about Formula E, that chaotic, frustrating form of motorsport that, like a wayward cousin, does weird things but still makes you smile. #FormulaE #motorsport #podcast

That one good race for Williams at Monza feels a long time ago.
Formula E Sao Paulo notebook:
π£ Going hard on burnouts without clear penalty is idiotic
π£ De Vries continues to have the judgement of a racoon with a boner
π£ "Ticktum didn't deserve that" is a novel sentence
π£ Di Grassi doesn't add much to a team - he's not a team player, he's slow, and inconsistent
