This is one of the sports events I love to see. Itβs about the journey, not the finish.

It amazes me the number of Americans asking why Article 5 hasnβt been invoked and that this is another failure of NATO.
I remember them doing it as well. I donβt know may be they are being led in the war by a bunch of teenagers. It would explain a lot. But seriously they should have known this would happen.
They didnβt think theyβd do that. Theyβve done it before. Try reading history books. Sorry I forgot they probably banned those ones.
Yeah. I saw this. Carney must live rent free in his head. But he can fuck off.
When they donβt have a plan. Everything goes according to plan.
Iβve noticed this already. There are people wanting mandatory vetting even after they are in. That wonβt even stop this.
War is t something that should be joked about. Especially from government accounts but it is the US.
Holy crap. Iβd hate to be the family reading this.
Yeah like the Americans have a good track record on installing puppet governments. Isnβt that how this mess started years ago.
People get romantic ideas about their countries conduct during war and donβt like hearing that bad things happen.
I know several rescue ships that were torpedoed with loss of all hands even ones that had been previously rescued so they discontinued the practice. There were even cases in the Pacific of allied planes shooting survivors in the water as they treated them as combatants. Lots of bad stuff happened.
They did. There was an incident where the Germans sunk a British ship transporting I believe Italian POWs. While the Germans were trying to save them they were attacked by an American plane flying out of the Azores, I think. This was after the Germans broadcasted they were rescuing survivors.
The fact that they knew the ship was on the ex does make it that much worse. Thereβs a story that there may have been Australian submariners onboard as well. Not that they could do anything anyway, but something else to strain relations with other countries about.
Yeah they donβt have a lot of room or the facilities to do that. Iβve been on our subs, my dad was a submariner, on a US boomer with my dad and a British sub while I was serving. None of them are really set up to deal with major medical issues with their own crew let alone another ship.
I think theyβve already given their reply. Basically saying theyβve been lied to so many times they are staying out of it.
Iβm waiting for someone to translate Carneys latest speech into grade one English for Trump to understand. That could be interesting.
Iβm sure that will end up in some history textbook somewhere. Really inspiring words. π
Same with the yahoos that think now if Iran were to strike either the US mainland or a large US base somewhere the US could invoke Article 5. Sorry you strikes first as far as I know that nullifies Article 5.
Thereβs video of the US president calling the team with him in the room. Iβd like to say itβs unbelievable but I can believe that they all behaved that way.
Unfortunately we Canadians are kind of use to this. Just now we arenβt taking anymore. Itβs not just the tariffs that are causing the boycotts of travelling to the US.
So I just tried skiing for the first time in my 55 years. Not bad fell the first three times. Now for something to eat and go back out and try it again.
The strength of the families of the victims. This isnβt the only one that Iβve heard think this way.
If you want to read something about Tumbler Ridge and the motivation behind one of Canada's worst mass shootings, I recommend Justin Ling in the Toronto Star:
A good article on Canadian medics in Afghanistan. I met a couple of the ones shown when I was overseas, including one of the narrators

Canada will not bend the knee.
Americans like to think of us as their pet or as a little sister they can bully. A joke.
They donβt seem to be laughing now. Now itβs threats and βbe respectfulβ.
Fuck all the way off.
And on the American side of the bridge we used American steel. It was assembled with works from both countries. Trump can go F off now.
This reminds me of what someone whoβs abusive would be saying. We need to be good to them but they canβt do whatever they want to us.
I havenβt watched any games yet but hearing this makes me happy. Iβm glad to see Womenβs hockey improving around the world.
